The Sovereign Class Starship

Mission

The Sovereign Class starship marks one of starfleets Newest and Most advanced Vessel. With lineage stretching back to the origional Constitution-Class vessels of the twenty-third century.

Designed to serve in a variety of roles, from combat to long-range exploration, the sovereign-class is better suited for tactical and support missions. With a tough, No-nonsense design heavily geared towards long-term survivability, the soverign is intended to serve the fleet into the 25th century.

Features

The most significant design eliment of the Sovereign-class is the elimination of the large dorsal between the Primary and Secondary hulls, this makes it less vulnerable.

The sovereign was also the first ship to feature a modified warp drive. In 2368 starfleet discovered the negative effect warp drives were having on certain areas of space, the modified warp drive was designed to maintain the integrity of the fabric of space.
