Tour The Sovereign-Class, USS Dauntless.

bridge.jpg

The Bridge is the nerve centre of the entire ship - here, some of the most important events take place. The Command Chair, Executive Officers Seat, and Second Officers Seat are located in the centre. The forward crescent Station contains the Operations on the Left, and the CONN on the Right. To the right and aft of the command chair is a joint Security/Tactical Console manned by the Chief of Security/ Tactical. Starting from the left, The Head, Replicator, The Forward Facing Station is the SFSC Squadron Control, along the wall is SFSC Auxiliary Control Station, LCARS Access 1, Auxiliary Console 1, Science Station, Entrance to Briefing Lounge, Master Situation Display, Engineering Station, Engineering Console, Main Turbolift, SFMC Mission Control, Auxiliary Console 2, LCARS Access 2, Mission Operations, Communications, Commanding Officer's Ready Room

The Auxiliary Bridge is a backup for the main bridge, and during battle stations is always manned, usually by the Assistant Department Heads. In case of Emergencies, such as control breakdown of bridge systems, or even total destruction of the Main Bridge, Complete Control can be routed here. When the bridge is still operational, the Auxiliary Bridge is still functional, but merely serves as an assist to the Bridge personal, allowing Auxiliary Bridge Officers to monitor and point out suggestions etc to the Main Bridge duty stations. Whilst being a backup for the Main Bridge, some of its functions are limited.

There is the single Centre Seat, for the Command Officer on duty (usually the Second Officer) and the CONN and Ops Stations at the front. From the Left; Direct Turbolift access from the Bridge, the forward facing free standing console is the Security/Tactical Console, then behind it are the Engineering and Science Stations. Access to Deck 41 and access to Main Engineering. On the Right is Mission Operations, Communications and the forward facing free Standing Console is a joint SFSC and SFMC Control Console. The exit on the right leads to the Second Officers Office.

caprr.jpg

Located on Deck One, adjacent to the Bridge, the Commanding Officer's Ready Room serves as his office. There is a couch large enough to sleep on, and a fully functional Head adjacent to the office.

Perhaps one of the most important areas of the ship, and located directly next to the Computer Core, is the OPS Center. Here, personnel monitor and allocate resources to the entire ship, feeding all information directly to the OPS station on the Bridge.

Located adjacent to the OPS Center, the OPS Manager's office has possibly the most detailed interface with the ship's computer, and is where the OPS Manager takes care of Department business.

astrometrics.jpg

A supplemental office to Stellar Cartography, Astrometrics also serves an important function in mapping and exploratory expeditions.

captainsquarters.jpg

Commanding Officers Quarters, Located on Deck 2. Other Senior Officer Quarters are located on Deck 2, these are twice the size of the regular quarters. Rank comes with privileges after all.

ncoquart.jpg

Senior Non-Commissioned Officers are provided Quarters for themselves, much like Senior Officers. NCO Quarters are found throughout the ship, with the Command Master Chiefs Quarters being located on Deck 2.

tubes.jpg

Jeffereys tube run through-out the ship, giving access to every part of the ship, they run vertically and horizontally all across the ship

engineering.jpg

eng.jpg

The extensive Main Engineering takes up 3 decks.
The Sovereign layout for Engineering is the largest ever fielded by the Starfleet Corp of Engineers. Engineers will tell you that this, not the Bridge, is the true nerve centre of the ship. Perhaps they're right - after all, without Engineering, it's very doubtful we'd be heading anywhere.

xorr.jpg

Located on Deck Two is the the Office of the Executive Officer. It has the same functions as the CO's ready room, but serves the purpose of facilitating XO business. There is a couch large enough to sleep on, and a fully functional Head adjacent to the office.

sickbay.jpg

Located on Deck 12, the Dauntless maintains its sickbay, with a Large Medical staff to see to the health of the officers and crew. The CMO is on hand as the 'Top Doc' on board. Sickbay is also equipped with a MARK II EMH. (Previous programming Glitches have been ironed out.)

sectac.jpg

The Dauntless's Main Security/Tactical office was a design contribution by Chief Miles O'Brien, based on the OPS of Deep Space Nine. The arrangement suits Security almost perfectly. At the top left is the main high-speed Turbolift access, and next to it, and emergency transporters. The doors on the bottom left lead to the Brig and Armoury, while the main entrance is along the right wall, next to the Chief of Security's Office. There is also Jeffries tube access from the pit in the floor.

The Chief of Security's office, located adjacent to the Security office, is where the Chief of Security handles Department business. It also has its own direct link to the Starfleet Security Database at Starfleet Headquarters, and virtually every Tactical Scenario possible.

A Seperata department heads office has recently been added for the tacticle officer now the two positions are seperate.

taclab.jpg

The Tactical Lab is a subsidiary of the Security and Tactical Department. The Tactical Lab has the capacity to simulate a wide variety of Tactical Scenario's, allowing the Tactical Officers to best prepare for Ship-to-Ship Combat.

The Main Cantina of the USS Dauntless spans two decks, with the Main Entrance being on Deck 12, with upper level entrance onto Deck 11. The Cantina, more commonly known as Woodys is run by a Human Civilian named Chris Allen. Chris has been a Bartender for many years, and knows his trade well, and can provide almost everything that anyone would want from a Bar such as this. He also runs 10 forward.

bar.jpg

The 'Ten Forward Bar' is one of the most popular places on the USS Dauntless. It is Used by most of the senior staff, and is most popular because of the spectacular view it provides. Many people come to 'Ten forward' just to watch the stars as the ship jumps to warp. Ten Forward is run by Chris Allen, a human civilian.
